Descubre Pucllana

Pucllana was a ceremonial center of the Lima culture, built between 450 and 650 AD. C. The pyramid, made up of different overlapping platforms, was the place where ceremonies and banquets dedicated to the sea were held.

Its importance in history transcends its builders, the Lima, because after its abandonment and under the influence of the Wari culture, the top of the pyramid was used as an elite cemetery. Centuries later, it was the Ychsma residents who, recognizing the sacredness of the place, made offerings and buried their dead.
