Offerings for the Ychsma ancestors

Ychsma society

900 a.C - 1450 a.C

800 years ago, the time of the Ychsma society, Pucllana was already considered a Ñawpallakta, that is, an “old town.” This prestige that remained despite time meant that it was used as a cemetery by this society. In the excavations carried out, numerous remains of offerings have been recovered. These consist of ceramics with cotton, textiles and a large number of toads. We know today that toads are closely linked to requests for rain from deities, so offering them would represent this.
